The fine print, in plain English. These apply to every quote, every booking, every clean.

1. Satisfaction Guarantee — The Clean-Again Promise

We stand behind our work. If anything isn't up to our standards, let us know within 24 hours of the clean and we'll fix it — free. We don't issue refunds, but we do make things right. This applies to every service we offer.

2. Quote Validity & Home Condition

Every quote is valid for 30 days from the date issued. Pricing is based on the details provided (home size, bedrooms, bathrooms, condition). If the home's condition differs significantly upon arrival — extreme clutter, hoarding situations, undisclosed post-construction dust, pet damage — we reserve the right to adjust the price or cancel the service to protect our schedule and standards. We'll always communicate this before beginning work.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of service. We accept:

Commercial clients with approved net-15 terms are invoiced monthly. Recurring residential clients may set up preauthorized billing on request.

4. Cancellation & Lockout Policy

We hold your time slot exclusively for you, which means our team isn't available for another client during your appointment. Please give us as much notice as possible for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Free cancellation: 24+ hours before your appointment — no fee.
  • Late cancellation: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $35 fee.
  • Lockout: If our team arrives and cannot access the property (no key, no code, no one home), a $75 lockout fee applies to cover crew travel and lost time.

5. Recurring Service Agreement

To maintain the discounted "Maintenance Rate" on recurring plans, cleanings must be scheduled within 21 days of the previous visit. Skipping this window may push the next clean to one-time pricing. Cadence can be changed (weekly ↔ bi-weekly ↔ monthly) at any time with 24 hours' notice.

Recurring plans have no contracts, no cancellation fees, and no auto-renewal. Cancel any time by text, email, or phone.

6. Winter Safety

Please ensure driveways and walkways are cleared of snow and ice before our arrival. We reserve the right to reschedule without penalty if access is deemed unsafe for our team. If conditions are marginal, we'll call to confirm before dispatching the crew.

7. Safety & Liability

To keep our team safe and healthy, we follow these rules:

  • No items over 35 lbs. We don't lift heavy furniture, mattresses, or appliances. Move these in advance if you want us to clean beneath them.
  • No high ladders. We reach what's reachable from a standard 2-step ladder.
  • Fully insured. Green Thumb Cleaning carries comprehensive liability insurance. Certificate of Insurance available on request.

We cannot accept liability for pre-existing wear and tear, unsecured items (loose blinds, wobbly shelves), or damage to items outside our stated scope.

8. Service Exclusions

The following are not included in any residential or commercial cleaning service, for safety and scope reasons:

  • Exterior areas: Garages, patios, decks, exterior windows, exterior siding.
  • Specialty items: BBQ grills, inside fireplaces, unclogging drains or pipes.
  • Hazards: Biohazards (pet waste, black mold, bodily fluids), insect or rodent infestations.
  • Clinical areas: Medical or dental exam rooms, sterile zones, or anywhere requiring specialized cleaning products and training.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026. This privacy policy describes how Green Thumb Cleaning collects, uses, and protects information.

What we collect

  • Contact information you provide voluntarily — name, phone, email, postal code, address.
  • Property details you provide — home size, bedrooms, bathrooms, service needs.
  • Payment information — processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store credit card numbers.
  • Website analytics — aggregated, anonymized browsing data.

How we use it

  • To provide you with a quote and deliver the cleaning service you requested.
  • To schedule, communicate, and bill for services.
  • To improve our services and website.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security measures to protect personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Information is shared with service providers only as necessary to deliver services (e.g. payment processors, booking software like Jobber).
